I edit pre-filmed and pre-produced content for creators of all shapes and sizes. Bring your footage and ideas, and let’s talk about the video you want made.
All rates are in USD. Fixed quotes are based on estimated work and clearly defined deliverables, with most projects starting at $400. Smaller edits may be quoted individually depending on scope. Repeat-client discounts may be available when an established workflow saves time.

Most projects start at $400. Smaller, simpler projects receive individual quotes based on the work involved.
Fixed quotes include one revision round. Additional revisions are $50/hour. Corrections to my mistakes are free.
You don’t need to be a business or a creator.
ASK ABOUT A SMALLER PROJECT ↗* Captions, extra formats, extensive graphics, and rush delivery are quoted separately when requested.
I only edit pre-filmed and pre-produced content. You supply the footage; filming services are not included.
I can create basic typography and work with templates you provide. More complex animation is outside my specialty, so I recommend hiring a dedicated VFX or motion graphics editor.
I take on paid commissions and do not typically accept requests for unpaid work or payment in “exposure.” Occasionally, I reach out to a project and volunteer my time.
I don’t use generative AI to create footage or artwork for commissions. When you haven’t supplied B-roll, I primarily use stock footage. I may use assistive tools included in Adobe Creative Suite to help with editing tasks, with care and human review. AI tools are not the same thing as generative AI, but I wanted to disclose this anyway.

For authenticity, I publish reviews from people I’ve genuinely worked with, whether as clients, coworkers, or collaborators (regardless of rating). Submissions are sent privately so I can verify them before publishing. Your email address will never be displayed in your review.
I’ll send a PayPal invoice for the agreed-upon price. A 50% deposit starts the work; the remaining 50% is due before delivery of the final files.
I accept payment exclusively through PayPal and will provide an invoice for the agreed-upon price (including sales tax). If there are any changes to the invoice, I will adjust it accordingly and discuss potential changes with you beforehand.
Because my freelance work is filed yearly under my small business, I do charge a sales tax for the state of Connecticut. This fee will be reflected on your invoice.
A 50% deposit is required before I begin work on your commission, with the remaining 50% due prior to the delivery of the final files. Once I receive the second half of the payment, I will send you the high-resolution final files. All in-progress videos will retain a watermark to prevent upload before payment.
You will receive two exports of your final cut: the ProRes Master (4K) and the H.264 export (1080p HD). These exports will allow you to create further versions without quality loss. While I can produce additional exports, please note that there may be an extra cost based on the quantity requested.
Please note that I do not provide clients with the Premiere project file; only the final video exports are delivered. The work file remains my intellectual property, and I reserve the right to keep it confidential.
I am available for communication throughout the commission process via email and/or Discord. I will provide my Discord information upon request after finalizing project details via email.
Unless otherwise stated, I do not work on weekends and am only available Monday through Friday for questions or project updates. I generally do not respond to inquiries during weekends or major holidays. My working hours are 12pm - 9pm Eastern Time (EST).
Typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks after receiving all required materials, depending on scope and availability. The delivery date will be agreed upon before work begins.
Fixed quotes include one consolidated revision round within the agreed scope. Additional revisions and scope changes are billed at $50/hour, with the cost discussed before work proceeds. Corrections to my own mistakes are free.
Final files can be uploaded for download on your choice of Dropbox, Vimeo, or Google Drive. I will remove the uploaded delivery files 48 hours after you confirm successful receipt and download. If you lose the files and need to download them again, please contact me. If I still have your finished video, I will temporarily re-upload it. Due to online storage costs, I cannot keep files uploaded indefinitely, but I do typically retain finished projects on my local drives for portfolio purposes, subject to the privacy terms below. That being said, this is not a guarantee that I will still have your finished video indefinitely after delivery, so I recommend storing it in multiple places!
Client and revision notes can be submitted via the Vimeo notes function (your video will be visible only to you and me) or through email/Discord. Each draft will include a burned-in timecode for your convenience (this will be removed in the final export). This practice facilitates clear communication for revisions, as relying on your video player’s timecode may lead to inaccuracies and miscommunication.
All preview files will have a watermark or timecode burned in. Once I receive final payment, these will be removed from the final deliverables.
If this is a YouTube video, I kindly ask that you credit me as the editor in the video description. You can link my website or credit me as Lea Carosella, whichever you prefer.
For any on-screen projects, I should be listed in the credits as Lea Carosella.
I reserve the right to feature commissioned work in my portfolio, but you may request that your video remain private and not be used as a portfolio piece. Memorial videos will never be included in my portfolio unless you give me explicit permission. If your project is sensitive or personal, please let me know when we discuss the details.
For projects that require urgent turnaround, a rush fee will apply.
While monetary tips upon completion and delivery of the video files are appreciated and encouraged, they are not required.
If I feel that I must stop work on your project due to misconduct on your part, I will provide you with whatever has been completed and retain the initial payment. A full refund will only be issued if I have not yet started work on your commission. All communication logs will be archived and provided to PayPal in the event of a refund dispute.
If I stop working with you due to misconduct, I will not accept additional commission requests from you. I will also not engage in further attempts of contact once project files have been delivered. Evidence of misconduct will only be made public if the individual attempts defamation.*
* I prefer to keep disputes private, but I will defend myself if necessary.
I reserve the right to refuse work and/or discontinue a project at any time, with or without explanation. This may include concerns regarding client conduct, the nature of the content, or refusal of payment.
